Dogs and their owners compete in the 6th annual Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition where dogs from all over the country come to compete to be top dog on Imperial Beach on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Each dog was given 10 minutes to catch their top two waves to be scored for points. Forty-Five dogs competed in three categories: Small Dogs (under 60 pounds), Large Dogs (over 60 pounds), and Tandem (combination of dogs and/or humans).
